PRESS RELEASE- On January 27th, over 190 people gathered for All in Mentoring’s (AIM) first annual fundraising event - AIM for FUN: A Night of Laughter. Thanks to event attendees, sponsors and donors, All In Mentoring raised a net profit of $22,562.89 which will allow the organization to continue serving its 40 matches with an effort to increase the number of mentor/mentee relationships in our community.
“Investing in intergenerational mentoring relationships that create confident and compassionate individuals is what it’s all about,” said Kori Chamberlin, Executive Director of AIM. “The dollars raised will directly support our mission. We are both honored and proud to see so many community members support this mission too!” added Chamberlin.
While the purpose of the event was fundraising, it was also a chance to invite others to join AIM’s mission by becoming a mentor. The night was filled with a silent auction, heartfelt stories, and 3 comedians. Emcee and AIM Mentor, Molly Fitch, kicked the night off sharing about her match. Executive Director, Kori Chamberlin, shared about AIM’s history and how AIM has grown over the last 2 years. Lindsay Schaedig shared about her son Owen's story and the impact his mentor has made on him. Mentor and AIM Board Member, Craig Gunderson, also shared about his time with mentee, Alex. Then, the comedians took the stage and solicited laughs from the entire audience. Including in-kind donations and silent auction donations, AIM raised over $31,000.
“On behalf of the AIM Board of Directors and the event fundraising committee, we were blown away by the support received during our first fundraiser,” said Erin Bird, a mentor and board member for AIM. “We’re already looking forward to next year’s event to be held on January 25, 2025.”
