About Us

Why AIM Exists

In addition to AIM’s impacts seen on the left, research from similiar mentoring programs reveal that students who receive adult support are

far more likely to attend school regularly & complete their school work,
likely to see an improvement in their grades, mental health, and self-confidence,
less likely to engage in at-risk behavior (drugs, alcohol, crime, etc.)
more likely to become the citizens our future world needs

Mentoring works! Research reveals students who receive adult support are less likely to engage in at-risk behavior and more likely to become the citizens our future world needs. Even with strong school systems and communities, kids still need additional support. AIM exists to 'fill the gaps', helping every child have the support they need to become who they were created to be!

Our History

How We Operate

AIM pairs adult mentors with kids in K-6th grade. Mentors and mentees can choose from our two program options. In our school mentoring program, mentors and mentees meet weekly for 30 minutes at school. These matches play games, play catch on the playground, or do crafts. Our community mentoring program allows matches to meet out in the community for 2-4 hours per month. Community matches can attend community events, go bowling, bake cookies, etc.
