What is your favorite activity to do together?
Alexis: Playing dice games.
Laurie: Playing games.
What is your favorite part of your mentoring relationship?
Alexis: Spending time together and playing games.
Laurie: Getting to know Alexis better and teaching her new things.
Why should people get involved in AIM?
Alexis: It's been a lot of fun getting to know another person. It's nice to know that we can make a difference.
Laurie: It's a great chance to make a difference in a young person's life. It's lots of fun!!

How is AIM Impacting Youth?
|
AIM tracks the impact mentoring is having on mentees a few different ways. One way is through surveys done with mentees before being matched with a mentor and at the end of each school year. Another is by receiving testing and attendance data from the Waverly-Shell Rock School District for students matched in the program (with parent permission). Below are just some of the impacts we saw this school year:

100% of our mentees responded, "pretty true" or "very true" to the statement "my mentor really cares about me".

92.6% of our mentees responded, "pretty true" or "very true" to the statement "my mentor makes me feel special".

66.7% of our mentees responded, "pretty true" or "very true" to the statement "my mentor has helped me with problems in my life".

Revibe Fun Run
AIM is honored to have been chosen as the recipient of 100% of the proceeds from Revibe's 5K/2K/400M Fun Run again this year! Lace up your sneakers on Friday, July 14th for some fun and to be a partner with us in finding mentors for kids in the WSR area.

Heritage Days Parade
Look for AIM in the Heritage Days Parade! Mentees, Mentors, Parents, and Board Members will be marching in the parade to help spread the word about All In Mentoring.

Summer Match Event
AIM is hosting a Summer Event for all of our mentee/mentor matches on August 7th. Matches will be able to spend time catching up, playing, and winning prizes at Kid's Kingdom Park. This event was a big success last summer, and we have high hopes for this year's event too.

Does Your Company Provide Matching Gifts?
