AIM For FUN: HUGE SUCCESS
|
|
|
Thank you to all our mentors who supported and/or attended our AIM For Fun event. The event featured speakers, Cory Stephens (new mentor) and Mitch Parker (North Ridge School Principal). Comedian, Johnny Beehner, delivered non-stop laughter, and the silent auction and 50/50 raffle added to the fun of the night. Due to the generosity of the community, AIM was able to raise over $28,000! As a result of the event, 4 new mentor enrollments have come through as well.
Thank you again for supporting AIM in all the ways you do!

Stewards of Children Training
|
|
Allen Child Protection Center is partnering with AIM to provide a free Stewards of Children Training. This training teaches adults practical actions they can take to reduce instances of child sexual abuse in their organizations, families, and communities.

*If there is enough interest, childcare will be provided. Please email Kori ([email protected]) if you would like childcare.
Participants will receive an email after the training to fill out an evaluation and will automatically be sent a certificate.
Additionally, this training is worth 3 continuing education credits for childcare providers (through CCR&R and AEA Central Rivers) as well as social workers. If a participant is in need of CEU's, they will need to email Megan Lumetta ([email protected]) to have their name put on a separate list.

The Waverly Chamber of Commerce is excited to once again partner with the Waverly-Shell Rock Community School District to organize an event that will introduce students to a variety of in-demand trades, including electricians, plumbers, auto-mechanics and more! Students in grades 7-12 from W-SR and surrounding school districts are encouraged to attend FREE!
