End of School Year Information

Last Day of School

WSR's last day of school is June 1, 2023. Please communicate with your mentee's teacher to determine your last visit date. With Memorial Day on Monday, May 29th (no school) and the last day on Thursday, it may be wise to wrap-up your visits the week prior. If you have any questions, let Kori know.

Summer Communication

It is AIM's policy that school-based matches are not to exchange contact information and, therefore, to have no direct contact throughout the summer months. However, you have the option to email, mail, or text Kori with letters, updates, or pictures and she will pass those on to your mentee's parent/guardian. Your mentees would enjoy knowing what you are doing over the summer and that you are still thinking about them.

We also anticipate hosting at least one match activity over the summer where you and your mentee would be able to see each other in person.

Match Relationship Survey

At the end of every school year, we have our mentors complete a match relationship survey. Every mentee will complete a similar survey before the end of school year as well. These surveys help AIM to know the impact the relationship is having on your mentee as well as to see if there are any areas that mentors feel more training or support would be helpful. These surveys will be emailed out soon, so be on the lookout.

Treats

The week of May 22nd, Kori plans to deliver treats to each school for all of the matches. If you will be meeting at a day/time other than the one that was originally set up, please let Kori know so she can make sure to deliver your goodies in time.

Thank You

We appreciate the passion, dedication, and compassion you have shown your mentees over this school year! Kori and the Board of Directors have been blown away by how much of an impact you all have had on your mentees.
