Thank all of you for joining AIM to serve kids in our community! We (Ellie, Kori, and the AIM Board) appreciate the passion, dedication, and compassion you have shown to your mentees! All in Mentoring would not exist without mentors like you and we thank you for all you have done!!
Most of our matches are school-based matches (only meet in school). If you are a hybrid or community-based match, some of the information below may not apply to your match. If you are unsure or have questions about anything, please reach out to Ellie or Kori.

End of School Year Information
If you are a school-based match, there are a few things to note as the school year comes to an end:
Finals Visits of the Year
The last day of school is Wednesday, June 4 (Denver's last day is May 30) and there is no school on Monday, May 26. We would highly recommend having your final meeting for the school year the week of May 19.
Summer Contact
Our board of directors has decided that school-based matches are not to exchange contact information and, therefore, to have no direct contact throughout the summer months. However, you have the option to email, mail, or text AIM with letters, updates, or pictures and we will pass those on to your mentee's parent/guardian. I am sure the kids would enjoy knowing what you are doing over the summer and that you are still thinking about them.
We will have two opportunities for you to see your mentee this summer. Mark your calendar for our match events on Thursday, June 26 and Tuesday, August 12. More details to come!
Match Relationship Survey
At the end of every school year, we would like for ALL mentors to complete a match relationship survey. Every mentee will complete a similar survey before the end of the school year as well. These surveys help AIM to know the impact the relationship is having on your mentee as well as to see if there are any areas that mentors feel more training or support would be helpful. These surveys will be emailed out soon to matches who have been together longer than 3 months, so be on the lookout.
Treats
The week of May 19th, we plan to deliver treats to every school before your scheduled meeting day/time for you to share with your mentee during your last visit. Please ask the secretary for your treats if they don't remember to give them to you when you arrive. If you are meeting at a day/time other than the one that was originally set up, please let your AIM contact (Kori or Ellie) know when you are meeting so we can make sure to deliver your goodies to the school on time.

Just a reminder that our Mentor Event is on Monday. If you cannot attend but signed up to get a few activities, please let Ellie or I know when you will be stopping by so we can make sure to be at the office.

Waverly Art Walk
Saturday, May 3
The Art Walk is Waverly's juried fine arts and crafts show. This year will be the 20th anniversary of this great community event! Artists from the tri-state area come to Kohlmann Park to sell their works of media ranging from basketry, jewelry, pottery, photography, painting, and much more. Artists’ booths line the winding sidewalk with a perfect view of the Cedar River, making a stroll through the park a pleasant way to view and purchase the artists’ creations. Art Walk is co-sponsored by Waverly Leisure Services and the Waverly Chamber of Commerce.
