AIM Reaches 50 Matches

On June 7, 2024, All In Mentoring (AIM) achieved a significant milestone by making its 50th mentor-mentee match. This match is community-based, totaling 5 in AIM’s community program. The community-based program encourages mentees and mentors to meet outside of school, offering diverse activities such as library visits, outdoor walks, crafting, and attending sporting events. Matches connect at least twice a month outside of school hours.

AIM also serves 39 school-based matches through its traditional mentoring option. During the school year, mentors and mentees meet for 30 minutes weekly within the Waverly-Shell Rock District (including St. Paul’s and the Lied Center). Enrolled kids in grades K-6 engage in activities tailored to the mentee’s interests, such as playing games, reading, crafting, and playing catch.

Additionally, AIM offers a hybrid version for certain matches. Hybrid matches primarily meet in school during the academic year but can venture into the community during the summer or for special opportunities. There are currently 6 hybrid matches.

Kori Chamberlin, AIM’s Executive Director, expressed excitement about this achievement, crediting the selfless dedication of mentors who consistently support and guide their mentees.
