NEW Community-Based Mentoring Program

With the support of TruStage, AIM is now able to offer a community-based mentoring option to families and volunteers. In the new community-based program, mentees and mentors can meet outside of school walls and school hours to do activities out in the community. Mentors will be asked to spend 2-6 hours per month (2 times per month) with their mentee. The activity options are endless: gardening, painting, ice cream, walking/biking on the Rail Trail, etc. This program offers volunteers with limited daytime hours the chance to mentor AND offers new experiences to mentees. Reach out to [email protected] if you are interested in learning more about this new program!

Danielle Duppong hired as Match Coordinator

In order to serve more kids, through our community-based program, Danielle Duppong was hired as a part-time match coordinator. Dani started in September and is helping to create and implement our new program. Welcome, Dani!

Danielle has been married to her wonderful husband, Steve, for 21 years. She has worked with children in many capacities: as a mother of 6, a homeschool teacher, a childcare provider, a social worker, and a summer activity coordinator to name a few. Dani enjoys meeting new people and helping people create new goals and new relationships. In her spare time, she reads and learns, practices karate, bikes, cooks and shops at Trinkets. She looks forward to helping Waverly build up its most valuable asset - kids!

Attention: Businesses!

We are looking for local businesses who would be willing to provide free or discounted goods/services for our community matches. Please contact [email protected] if you can support AIM in this way!
